Fargo man injures leg in farming accident near Walcott

WALCOTT, N.D. - A 23-year-old Fargo man was injured two miles northeast of here Saturday in a farming accident, the Richland County Sheriff's Office said.
Ryan K. Anderson was combining corn around 4:30 p.m. Saturday when the head of the combine became plugged with corn stocks, the Sheriff's Office said.
Anderson got out of the combine but forgot to disengage the header to remove the corn stocks. As he was removing stocks from the header, it engaged with his right leg, authorities said.
Anderson was airlifted to Sanford Health in Fargo with a severe injury to his leg. His condition was not immediately known.
