Lukach second at state; Hart two thirds

Jamestown High School's Brooke Lukach placed second in the diving competition at the state swimming and diving meet in Mandan on Saturday.

Jamestown High School's Brooke Lukach placed second in the diving competition at the state swimming and diving meet in Mandan on Saturday.

Lukach finished with 364.95 points, second only to Ashley Kankelfritz of Fargo South (385.70).

Lukach, a senior, was the West Region Senior Athlete of the Year. She also earned all-state first-team honors.

Sophomore Alex Lind was third on the diving board with a score of 355.50.

Erin Hart, a junior, placed third in both the 200 individual medley (2:15.97 and 100 backstroke (59.92).

Hart earned all-state first team honors in both events.
