Pit bulls maul resident in Des Lacs, N.D.

BURLINGTON, N.D. (AP) — Ward County authorities are investigating a mauling by two pit bulls in a Des Lacs home.

Sheriff Vern Erck said the 46-year-old victim was flown to a Minot hospital with undisclosed injuries. He said a 2-year-old child who also was in the home was not injured.

Authorities took the dogs to a Minot veterinarian to be quarantined, examined and then euthanized.
