153 refund checks returned to IRS

BISMARCK (AP) — The Internal Revenue Service says 153 federal tax refund checks to North Dakotans were returned with mailing address errors. The IRS said the checks total nearly $123,000, and some taxpayers are due more than one check.

The IRS said the checks total nearly $123,000, and some taxpayers are due more than one check.

IRS spokeswoman Carrie Resch said people who are missing refunds should update their addresses with the IRS so they can get their money.

The IRS says undeliverable refund checks for North Dakotans average $803 this year, compared to $825 last year.
