Five JC runners earn NAIA academic award

Five Jamestown College cross country runners have been named NAIA Academic All-Americans. Earning the award were Katie Conlon and Madey Hornung of Jamestown, LaMoure’s Rachel Bickford, Ashleigh Anderson of Gillette, Wyo., and Cambrya Belter of Somerset, Wis.

Earning the award were Katie Conlon and Madey Hornung of Jamestown, LaMoure’s Rachel Bickford, Ashleigh Anderson of Gillette, Wyo., and Cambrya Belter of Somerset, Wis.

Conlon, and freshman Aleona Reyes, will run in the NAIA national meet today in Vancouver, Wash.

In order to qualify for the award a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
