BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Officials will break ground Tuesday for an expansion project at the North Dakota Heritage Center.

The center is on the state Capitol grounds in Bismarck. State lawmakers last year approved the $52 million, 97,000-square-foot expansion that will nearly double the center's size.

About 75 percent of the money is coming from the state. The rest is being raised by the State Historical Society of North Dakota Foundation. The project should be completed by 2014, the state's 125th anniversary.
