An insurance agent who conned a Grand Forks real estate company into paying for nonexistent home policies has been given four years of probation.
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — An insurance agent who conned a Grand Forks real estate company into paying for nonexistent home policies has been given four years of probation.
A judge also ordered 44-year-old David Glessner to have four months of electronic monitoring at home.
Prosecutor Thomas Falck told the Grand Forks Herald that Glessner finished paying nearly $65,000 restitution to Dakota Fusion on Wednesday.
Falck has said that if Glessner stays out of trouble for four years, the felony theft charge will be wiped from Glessner's record. Glessner had pleaded guilty after a deal with prosecutors.
The state has revoked Glessner's license to sell insurance.
