Crews plan to begin snow removal early Saturday if storm occurs

In anticipation of the winter storm moving into the area, city crews will begin removing snow from the emergency snow routes beginning at 5 a.m. Saturday and, if necessary, continuing on to the residential areas at 11 a.m. Saturday.

In anticipation of the winter storm moving into the area, city crews will begin removing snow from the emergency snow routes beginning at 5 a.m. Saturday and, if necessary, continuing on to the residential areas at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Crews will begin removing snow in the downtown area at 11 p.m. Saturday and continue during the night. Downtown merchants are asked to have their sidewalks shoveled by 9 p.m. before the blades begin the downtown snow removal program.

The schedule is contingent upon changing weather conditions and snow accumulation totals.
