BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota Gov. John Hoeven is asking for all U.S. and state flags to be flown at half-staff Tuesday in remembrance of those killed in the World War II attack on Pearl Harbor.
Hoeven's declaration is in accordance with a presidential proclamation designating Dec. 7 as National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.
Hoeven says it's important to honor the more than 2,400 Americans who died at Pearl Harbor 69 years ago.
