Hjemkomst open house Saturday
The Historical & Cultural Society of Clay County invites the public to its holiday open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Hjemkomst Center, Moorhead, Minn. Treats and beverages will be served.
The Historical & Cultural Society of Clay County invites the public to its holiday open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Hjemkomst Center, Moorhead, Minn. Treats and beverages will be served. The event is free.
A free guided tour of The Saint John’s Bible exhibit given by local calligrapher Anne Kaese is at 1:30 p.m. The Saint John’s Bible consists of 25 reproduction prints of the illuminations. This exhibit is on display through Dec. 27. In addition, a book talk about Swedish immigrant artist Birger Sandzen by Dr. Jim Kaplan is at 3 p.m. Kaplan’s book, “Birger Sandzen on Art, Music and Transcendence,” will be available at the event.
