Man sentenced on weapons charge
BISMARCK (AP) — A North Dakota man has been sentenced to nearly two years in prison on an illegal weapons charge.

Eric Bredwick was charged in federal court with possession of a firearm by a person convicted of domestic violence. He was arrested in May after he was found to have a semiautomatic pistol.
Authorities said Bredwick was convicted by a Williston municipal court in July 2007 for misdemeanor simple assault and domestic violence.
U.S. District Judge Daniel Hovland sentenced Bredwick to 20 months in prison. Bredwick was ordered to give up the pistol.
