Remains of Vietnam War pilot returned to N.D.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — The remains of a Vietnam War pilot who died decades ago have been returned home to North Dakota.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — The remains of a Vietnam War pilot who died decades ago have been returned home to North Dakota.

Family and friends greeted the plane carrying Air Force Maj. Thomas Beyer's casket at the Fargo airport Wednesday night. A funeral and burial are planned Saturday.

Beyer went missing in Vietnam in 1968. He was declared dead 10 years later but his remains were not found and identified until this year.
