BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Two felony charges were filed Wednesday against a man shot by Bismarck police after authorities say he pointed a gun at them following a four-hour standoff.
Bismarck police said 43-year-old Glenn Alan Lovgren was charged with terrorizing and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Police Sgt. Mark Buschena said two police officers were placed on administrative leave, which is standard procedure after a shooting.
Buschena said officers responded to a mobile home about 8 p.m. Tuesday on a report of a man holding hostages at gunpoint.
Buschena said after hours of intermittent negotiations by phone, Lovgren came out of the home about 12:15 a.m. Wednesday, pointed a rifle at officers and was shot. He later underwent surgery. No one else was hurt.
