Area players also win at poker

Andy Gray of Jamestown won $40,000 in the annual North Dakota Texas Hold’em Championship. He wasn’t the only winner from this area.

More than 1,700 poker players participated in the annual championship, said Wendy Rupert, co-founder of the event and general manager of the Vegas Motel in Minot. The top 125 participants share the payout of almost $133,000.

Area players who finished in the top 125 include:
