Travel Alerts issued for southeast North Dakota through Monday morning
The North Dakota Department of Transportation has issued Travel Alerts for southeastern North Dakota through Monday morning.
The North Dakota Department of Transportation has issued Travel Alerts for southeastern North Dakota through Monday morning.
The Travel Alert advises motorists that snowfall and winds are causing blowing snow, drifting and reduced visibility. Snow drifts may become heavy in some areas. In addition, snow fog is creating reduced visibility especially when meeting and passing other vehicles. Motorists are encouraged to reduced speeds and drive according to the conditions.
Cities affected by the Travel Alert for southeast North Dakota include: Valley City, Edgeley, Ellendale, Fargo, Wahpeton, and surrounding areas.
Be advised that road condition information on 511 and the travel map is updated daily from 5 a.m. until 9 p.m. The road report is based upon the information available to the NDDOT at the time of preparation and is provided solely as a public service. Conditions may vary from those reported.
If you become stranded, motorists should stay with their vehicle and call 911 for emergency assistance.
