Potato stocks up in North Dakota
FARGO (AP) — Potato stocks in North Dakota are up 11 percent from a year ago.

The Agriculture Department said in its latest report that growers, dealers and processors held 12 million hundredweight of potatoes in storage on Jan. 1.
Current stocks represent 55 percent of production, compared with 56 percent in 2010.
Nationally, potato stocks on Jan. 1 stood at 205 million hundredweight, down 13 percent over the year.
