FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Opponents of Fargo's new sign code have collected enough signatures to refer the ordinance.

City Auditor Steve Sprague tells The Forum newspaper that he'll recommend on Monday that the City Commission accept the referral petitions circulated by portable sign companies.

Sprague says the commission could repeal the ordinance or submit it to voters for a decision in June 2012.
