Bison pipeline shipping gas from Wyo. to Midwest
GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) — A new pipeline is now shipping natural gas from Wyoming's Powder River Basin to the Midwest.

The Gillette News-Record reports that TransCanada's Bison pipeline began operating Jan. 14.
The 303-mile pipeline runs from east of Gillette, through southeastern Montana and North Dakota and then connects with the Northern Border Pipeline.
The additional shipping capacity for Wyoming's natural gas is expected to increase its price.
The Ruby pipeline — about four times as big as the Bison pipeline — is expected to come online in late spring or early summer. It will carry gas from southwestern Wyoming to the California-Oregon border.
