Tax hike for school technology on Wahpeton ballot

WAHPETON, N.D. (AP) — Residents of the Wahpeton School District will decide in June whether to raise property taxes to fund technology improvements.

WAHPETON, N.D. (AP) — Residents of the Wahpeton School District will decide in June whether to raise property taxes to fund technology improvements.

The school board voted unanimously to put the measure on the ballot. It would give the school district as much as $117,000 per year to upgrade technology.

Superintendent Rick Jacobson tells the Daily News that the tax increase would cost the owner of a $100,000 home about $22.50 per year.
