City approves fire lane agreement for S & R Truck Plaza
The City Council’s Finance and Legal Committee approved a draft agreement Tuesday that creates a fire lane at S & R Truck Plaza on Business Loop East for fire trucks to access the properties on 13th Street Southeast.
The agreement would provide a 30-foot wide fire lane, rather than a 26-foot lane originally discussed. City Attorney Ken Dalsted said the extra feet were needed for the fire trucks to make turns. The fire lane would be on S & R property.
