Letter to the editor: Smoking is a choice and smokers have a right to it

I write in response to the recent letter about the “tobacco virus.”
Really! When I first read this my temper flared, I have to be honest with you all. The bird flu is not a choice as are cigarettes. The government has already stripped us of enough rights. Then they should enforce our food, as the chemicals and preservatives are killing and making us fat! Alcohol, people get addicted to that, let’s do prohibition again, too, while were at it. It’s called choice. No one forces people to go into bars or establishments that allow smoking. Stop taking our rights away, be an adult and if it offends you — stay away from it.
If you have time on your hands, contact our legislators and tell them to stop the war so our men and women can come home in person instead of a casket.
