Girl Scout cookies are for sale

The season for sales of cookies by Girl Scouts — Dakota Horizons has begun and Scouts in the Jamestown area will raise money with the program.

The Scouts will be selling eight varieties of cookies, including the most popular, Thin Mints, and a new Belgian-style caramelized cookie called the “Shout Out.”

Girl Scouts will have cookies on hand for sale for $4 per box at several area retailers. Go to the website www.gsdakotahorizons.org for more information about where to buy cookies.

Customers can also call the “Cookie Hotline” at 800-666-2141 for information about purchasing cookies.

“The Girl Scout cookie program has produced more female business owners than most universities, and gives girls skill sets to make the world a better place,” said Tami Haug-Davis, CEO of Girl Scouts — Dakota Horizons. “Each box of cookies sold helps young girls build leadership skills, learn goal setting, decision making and money management.”
