Dakotas officials react to health care ruling

Officials in the Dakotas are applauding a federal judge in Florida who ruled the Obama administration's health care overhaul is unconstitutional.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Officials in the Dakotas are applauding a federal judge in Florida who ruled the Obama administration's health care overhaul is unconstitutional.

North Dakota and South Dakota are among the 26 states fighting the measure.

U.S. Sen. John Hoeven, North Dakota's former governor, says the ruling by U.S. District Judge Roger Vinson reinforces the need for a different kind of health reform.

South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley says he hopes Congress will take a cue from the ruling and change the health care law.

The case is expected to land before the U.S. Supreme Court.
