SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — A charitable trust established by the late hotel and real estate baroness Leona Helmsley is giving Sanford Health in Sioux Falls nearly $2.1 million to upgrade mammography services.
Officials say the money will be used for state-of-the-art digital equipment, new radiologist work stations, and improvements to the mammography room and patient waiting area.
Sanford Health in 2009 merged with Fargo, N.D.-based Meritcare, forming what officials say is the nation's largest not-for-profit rural health care provider.
