FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A school bus driver in West Fargo arrested on suspicion of drunken driving has been fired from his job.
Valley Bus Co. route manager Roger Peterson tells The Forum newspaper that the Wednesday incident in which authorities say 59-year-old Steve C. Sauer drove an empty bus into a snow bank on his way to an elementary school is “automatic termination.”
A call to Sauer's home on Friday was not answered.
Peterson says Sauer had been working about a week for the company and also was employed in 2009.
