WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) — The Williston City Commission is considering an ordinance to govern where adult entertainment businesses can set up shop.

The proposal calls for such places as strip clubs to be located only in areas zoned industrial. They also would have be a certain distance from churches, schools, hospitals and public playgrounds, and they would not be allowed to have explicit signs or images on their exteriors.

The Williston Herald reported that if the ordinance is adopted, existing adult entertainment businesses would be allowed to stay where they are until their ownership changed.

Club owner Grace Delling said that still would hurt businesses because it would make it more difficult for an owner who wants to sell to find a buyer.
