Inez Laber

Inez Laber, 94, Williston, N.D., formerly of New Rockford, N.D., died Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, at Bethel Lutheran Nursing Home, Williston.

Inez Gedrose was born Dec. 21, 1918, in the Cathay, N.D. area, the daughter of Hannah and Ingvold Gedrose. She married Paul Laber on Nov. 26, 1936, at Devils Lake, N.D. They farmed in Rosefield Township, Eddy County, North Dakota, until 1979. They moved to New Rockford. He died April 3, 1989. She moved to Williston in September 2004. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, New Rockford. She was active in Bridge Club for more than 40 years. She enjoyed cooking, arranging gatherings, playing cards and dancing.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Carol Laber, Williston; a sister, Viola Delaney, Great Falls, Mont.; a sister-in-law, Elsie Gedrose, Sidney, Mont.; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Shirley Neumiller; two sons, Donald and Merle; parents; three brothers; a sister; and two granddaughters.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, First Lutheran Church, New Rockford, with the Rev. Tina Mills officiating.

Prayer service: 7 p.m. Thursday, Evans Funeral Home, New Rockford.

Visitation: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial: Prairie Home Cemetery, New Rockford.
