Civil Air Patrol searching for missing N.D. man
Authorities are conducting ground and air searches for a missing resident of the North Dakota Veterans Home in Lisbon.
LISBON, N.D. (AP) — Authorities are conducting ground and air searches for a missing resident of the North Dakota Veterans Home in Lisbon.
Police Chief Jeanette Persons tells KOVC radio that 78-year-old retired farmer Leon Weight was traveling from Oakes to Lisbon last Thursday when he disappeared. He was last seen traveling south on US Highway 281 in his car, near Edgeley.
Persons says both the Highway Patrol and the Civil Air Patrol have sent up planes to look for Weight. The Civil Air Patrol planned another search Tuesday.
