Jays eliminated at state hockey

Sam Ebert scored the only goal as Minot blanked Jamestown 1-0 in loser-out play at the state hockey tournament in Grand Forks on Friday.

Darren Medler stopped all 29 Jamestown shuts to get the shutout.

The Blue Jays finished the season at 10-15-1, advancing to state for the first time in 12 years. They lost to Grand Forks Red River 7-1 on Thursday night.

The JHS girls face Minot in an elimination game tonight at 6:30 p.m. The Jays lost to Fargo North 5-1 on Thursday.
