Dickinson man with tag kills mountain lion

MANDAREE, N.D. (AP) — A Dickinson man has shot and killed a mountain lion on the Fort Berthold Reservation, filling the first of five tags for the season.

Keith Zastoupil told the Minot Daily News that he, his son, Cody, a friend and their hounds went out to hunt this past Sunday afternoon. He says he got the mountain lion in the Lost Bridge area southwest of Mandaree less than two hours on the hunt.

Zastoupil says the male cat weighed 130 pounds.
