Linton-HMB downs Standing Rock 66-39 for 7th place

Tanner Purintun scored 17 points to lead Linton-Hazelton-Moffit Braddock to a 66-39 win over Standing Rock in the seventh-place game at the North Dakota boys Class B basketball tournament on Saturday.

MINOT, N.D. (AP) — Tanner Purintun scored 17 points to lead Linton-Hazelton-Moffit Braddock to a 66-39 win over Standing Rock in the seventh-place game at the North Dakota boys Class B basketball tournament on Saturday.

Purintun was 8-for-9 from the field for the Lions (23-4), who also made 17 of 21 free throw attempts.

Derek Roemmich added 14 points and 15 rebounds while dishing out three assists. Roemmich was 8-for-10 from the free throw line.

Standing Rock (12-16) was led by Marcus White Bull with eight points.

The Warriors shot just 27 percent from the field.
