Facility fire causes $50,000 damage

Authorities say a fire that broke out Saturday afternoon at a Grand Forks bus facility caused about $50,000 in damage and destroyed at least one bus.

GRAND FORKS (AP) — Authorities say a fire that broke out Saturday afternoon at a Grand Forks bus facility caused about $50,000 in damage and destroyed at least one bus.

The Grand Forks Herald reported that firefighters arrived at Dietrich Bus Services around 3:10 p.m. and got the blaze under control in about 15 minutes.

Battalion Chief Rod Hadland said no one was inside at the time of the fire.

Hadland says the blaze caused significant damage to other buses.

He said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
