LISBON, N.D. (AP) — The Lisbon City Council plans a Monday meeting to talk about possible flood protection buyouts.
Lake Agassiz Regional Council director Irv Rustad told The Forum newspaper that 17 homes have been identified as buyout options.
The project would cost the city and Federal Emergency Management Agency about $1.2 million. FEMA would pay all but $180,000.
Lisbon is about 75 miles southwest of Fargo, on the Sheyenne River.
