City may regulate adult entertainment
Dickinson leaders are considering new rules to discourage adult entertainment businesses from setting up shop.
DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) — Dickinson leaders are considering new rules to discourage adult entertainment businesses from setting up shop.
City Commissioner Klayton Oltmanns told The Dickinson Press that no such businesses have announced any plans. He said the proposed ordinance is a proactive measure.
Mayor Dennis Johnson said the city can’t ban businesses such as strip clubs and adult bookstores but it can set up “reasonable regulations to discourage” them.
