International physics conference planned in Fargo

An international physics conference that most recently was held in Rome and Beijing will be in Fargo this summer.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — An international physics conference that most recently was held in Rome and Beijing will be in Fargo this summer.

The Forum newspaper reports that North Dakota State University will host the Discrete Simulation of Fluid Dynamics conference Aug. 8-12.

NDSU associate professor Alexander Wagner is chairman of the conference's organizing committee. He says the event rotates among Europe, Asia and the Americas, and he suggested holding it in Fargo. He says participants will come from 14 countries. About 80 speakers are registered.
