Authorities say damage from a kitchen fire in the Cass County Jail was minimal, and no one was hurt.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Authorities say damage from a kitchen fire in the Cass County Jail was minimal, and no one was hurt.

Sheriff's Capt. Rick Majerus (muh-JAYR’-uhs) says alarms sounded in the Fargo facility about midafternoon Sunday. He says staff with fire extinguishers put out the blaze, and the fire and smoke was contained to the kitchen area.
