Erbes picked for NAIA all-star football game

Jamestown College standout safety Dustin Erbes has been selected to play in the fifth annual NAIA Senior Classic in Salina, Kan., on April 30. Erbes, a two-time All-American for the Jimmies, closed out his career with a Dakota Athletic-Conference leading nine interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown.

Erbes, a two-time All-American for the Jimmies, closed out his career with a Dakota Athletic-Conference leading nine interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown.

The Colfax, N.D., native also led the Jimmies in total tackles (78) and solo stops (44). He was also second in tackles-for-loss with 7.5, and had one sack.

Eleven other players from the DAC will be playing including Edgeley native Trent Kosel, a two-year starter at quarterback from Valley City State. Kevin Strang and Seth Olson, of Lisbon, will also represent VCSU.

All-American wide receiver Johnny Lester of Minot State and cornerback Derion Williams of Dickinson State are slated to play.

Offensive linemen Ethan Brooks and Joey Brown of Mayville State are on the team as is defensive lineman William Drake and linebacker Clifton Krotz.

Defensive lineman Wacey Coleman and linebacker Richard Fairhead of Black Hills State will also play on the Americans Roster, coached by Todd Hafner of William Penn (Iowa).
