Deadline set for those interested in Emerging Artists Program at Grand Forks Art Fest

Budding artists with a passion to share their work but little or no exhibition experience are encouraged to apply for the Emerging Artists Program at the Grand Cities Art Fest 2011. Applications are currently available online at www.novac.org until the submission deadline on April 15. The Grand Cities Art Fest will be held on Saturday, June 11, through Sunday June 12 in Grand Forks and East Grand Forks.

The North Valley Arts Council created the Emerging Artist Program as an opportunity for artists to obtain valuable exhibition experience in a professional venue. Emerging artists will receive a free booth space and tent at the 2011 Grand Cities Art Fest, free region-wide publicity and the opportunity to learn the importance of business skill in the visual arts while obtaining feedback from the pubic and other artists.

Times for this year’s event are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 11 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 11.
