Beulah is focus of spring flooding preparation

The western North Dakota city of Beulah was a focus of spring flood preparation efforts on Friday, with Gov. Jack Dalrymple and other state officials traveling there to take part in a meeting and tour.

BEULAH, N.D. (AP) — The western North Dakota city of Beulah was a focus of spring flood preparation efforts on Friday, with Gov. Jack Dalrymple and other state officials traveling there to take part in a meeting and tour.

Two springs ago, the Knife River flooded about 80 homes on Beulah's south side.

About 3,000 people live in the Mercer County community.
