OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — A North Dakota man has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Nebraska on a charge of lying in his bankruptcy filing.
The indictment filed this week in U.S. District Court in Omaha says 44-year-old Russell Furby, of Tioga, N.D., failed to disclose that he gave two parcels of land in Nance County to his sister seven months before filing for his bankruptcy. He filed for Chapter 7 in November 2008.
A number listed for Furby was not in service. Court records don't list his attorney.
Furby is due in court April 21.
