JC to host Math Day for area schools

The Jamestown College Department of Mathematics is hosting an Elementary Math Day for fifth-graders from Jamestown area schools beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday, in the Reiland Fine Arts Center.

The Jamestown College Department of Mathematics is hosting an Elementary Math Day for fifth-graders from Jamestown area schools beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday, in the Reiland Fine Arts Center.

The day includes several stations illustrating different math concepts designed and conducted by Jamestown College math students. Topics include math tricks, probability, paper airplanes and electromagnetism.

An onstage math competition will follow at noon in DeNault Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
