One dead in weekend shooting in Hankinson
The Richland County Sheriff's Office is investigating a weekend shooting death in the southeast North Dakota town of Hankinson.
HANKINSON, N.D. (AP) — The Richland County Sheriff's Office is investigating a weekend shooting death in the southeast North Dakota town of Hankinson.
Authorities tell The Forum newspaper that the male victim was pronounced dead at a hospital in Breckenridge, Minn., after the shooting outside a residence about 4 a.m. Sunday. The person was not immediately identified.
The sheriff's office says a “person of interest” in the shooting is cooperating with law enforcement, and there is no danger to the public.
