FARGO, N.D. (AP) — The body of a man found behind an apartment garage in Fargo has been sent to the state medical examiner in Bismarck for an autopsy.

Police tell The Forum newspaper that children found the body Tuesday night. Authorities say it appears the body had been there for a while and was exposed as snow melted.

Sgt. Carlos Nestler says the condition of the body made it difficult to tell if foul play might have been involved in the death.
