The Jamestown Police Department is warning Jamestown residents of a convicted sex offender working in Jamestown.
William Jason Wall, 37, Valley City, N.D., works at Jamestown Implement assembling equipment. He is described as a white man with blue eyes and brown hair. He is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds.
Wall drives a black 1992 Ford Ranger, N.D. license plate HNZ438.
He has been assigned a high-risk assessment by the North Dakota Risk Level Committee, Office of the North Dakota Attorney General.
In July 2008, Wall was convicted of two counts of corruption of a minor in Barnes County District Court. He was accused of providing alcohol to a couple of minors and then had sex with a 16-year-old girl that was so intoxicated she vomited and wet the bed. A second girl witnessed Wall having intercourse with the victim. For the first count, Wall was sentenced to five years, three suspended and three years supervised probation. His sentence for the second count was concurrent to the first.
Wall was also convicted of corruption of a minor in Barnes County District Court in June 2006. A 17-year-old girl gave birth to a child and named Wall as the father on the child’s birth certificate. When police went to interview Wall, they found the girl living with him. He was sentenced to one year of disposition with one year suspended and three years unsupervised probation.
Wall is currently on probation with North Dakota Parole and Probation and is monitored by GPS.
He is not wanted by police at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court. The notification is intended for public safety and not to increase fear in the community. The information should also not be used to threaten, assault or intimidate Wall. Attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten Wall or his family, landlord or employer will be turned over for prosecution.
