Corps discusses Missouri River operations

This year's operating plan for the Missouri River mainstem reservoir system is up for review.
The Army Corps of Engineers is holding meetings this week to take public comment on the document.
An afternoon meeting was scheduled Wednesday in Bismarck, N.D., and an evening session in Pierre, S.D.
The corps will use them to explain river and reservoir operations the past winter and planned operations for the rest of the year.
It expects above-normal runoff into the Missouri River system this year and is discharging more water to remove runoff that's already accumulated in the reservoirs this spring.
