Sharon Shoemaker

Sharon Frances Shoemaker, 72, of Eau Claire passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at her residence.

Sharon was born on January 8, 1939 to Ralph and Catherine (Kate Nogosek) Koenig in James-town, ND. She was a graduate of St. James Academy, James-town, ND. Sharon married Wayne Shoemaker in Waukon, IA and they resided in Eau Claire. She enjoyed gardening, reading, knitting, and loved all kids. Sharon especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 54 years, Wayne; sons, Dana Shoemaker of Eau Claire, Cary Shoemaker of Pigeon Falls, Wade (Kim) Shoemaker of Altoona, Eric Shoemaker of Eau Claire, Sean Shoemaker of Stevens Point, WI, Scot Shoemaker of Eau Claire; daughters, Vicki (Rik) Stockey of Dundas, MN, Edie (Danny) Bare of Milton, FL; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Charlene (Deloy) Kiser of Farmington, MN, Phyllis (Lester) Krueger of Napa, Ca, Patti Pagac of Waterford, MI; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Darrel; and 2 great grandchildren.

The visitation for Sharon will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Smith Funeral Chapel. The memorial service will be at 3:00 PM with Father Edmund Klimek officiating.
