Oswald named to head FBI in Minn., N.D., S.D.

There’s a new person in charge of FBI operations in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. Donald Oswald has been appointed special agent in charge of the Minneapolis Division. Oswald most recently served as the chief inspector in the FBI’s Office of Inspections.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — There’s a new person in charge of FBI operations in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota.

Donald Oswald has been appointed special agent in charge of the Minneapolis Division. Oswald most recently served as the chief inspector in the FBI’s Office of Inspections.

The FBI said Oswald joined the agency as a special agent in 1992 and served in various capacities in Los Angeles, New York, Miami and at FBI headquarters. The agency said Oswald was promoted to senior executive in the Inspection Division in 2008. Before joining the FBI, Oswald served in the U.S. Air Force and New Jersey Air National Guard. He worked as a police officer in his hometown of Brick Township, New Jersey and as a deputy sheriff in Broward County, Florida before earning his law degree from Nova University Law School.
