N.D. Rep. Berg to announce Senate decision
North Dakota Republican Rep. Rick Berg said he'll have an announcement Monday on whether he's running for his party's U.S. Senate nomination in 2012.
FARGO, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota Republican Rep. Rick Berg said he'll have an announcement Monday on whether he's running for his party's U.S. Senate nomination in 2012.
A spokeswoman said Berg will send an online video to email subscribers and Facebook followers Monday evening, to be followed by events around the state.
The 51-year-old Berg defeated Democratic incumbent Earl Pomeroy for a House seat last year.
Democratic U.S. Sen. Kent Conrad has said he will not seek re-election next year.
