MANDAREE, N.D. (AP) — The father of a North Dakota National Guard soldier killed in Afghanistan says someone took a banner from a roadside display he put up two years ago honoring his son.
The banner, along with others in the display off N.D. Highway 22 near Mandaree, has photos of Nathan Goodiron, along with comments, verses and poems. Paul Goodiron tells the Minot Daily News that it went missing earlier this week and he wants it back.
The 25-year-old Nathan Goodiron was killed in November 2006 when a rocket-propelled grenade struck the vehicle he was driving.
