Mary promotes Budde to head coach
The University of Mary announced Monday that assistant coach Jevin Budde has been promoted to head coach of men’s basketball. Budde joined the Mary program for the 2009-10 season as assistant to head coach Randall Herbst, who resigned recently to join the coaching staff at Nebraska-Omaha.

Budde joined the Mary program for the 2009-10 season as assistant to head coach Randall Herbst, who resigned recently to join the coaching staff at Nebraska-Omaha.
Budde coached previously at Nebraska-Omaha and Bethany Lutheran College. He played collegiately at Creighton and Minnesota State University.
Mary is coming off its best season since moving to Division II. The Marauders went 23-6 and made their first appearance in the NCAA tournament. They finished the season ranked No. 18.
